My grading system: I go based on the noticeability of defects.
Please note!: Backstamp and pinback may not be completely centered or even, my grading only goes based on the front of the pin!

-Regular grade: Otherwise known as ‘Collectors Grade!’
Pins may have very light scuffing/scratching or slightly uneven filling of enamel, usually only visible at certain angles.

-Grade B: Otherwise known as ‘Wearing Grade!’ because you don’t have to worry if it gets scuffed up with daily wear! May have deep dings or slices in enamel or metal. Possible slight small discolored area of metal. Possible specks or debris.
All still very hard for me to notice and only noticeable to me at certain angles.

Please keep in mind I am by no means an expert. I just go based on how noticeable a defect is. I am pretty over critical and most pins that have defects look just as good as their counterparts and will still look great on your pinboard!
